Guided tour through the bakery/confectionery
Who does not know it, the fine speciality that belongs on every coupe in summer and refines the vermicelles in autumn? In Meiringen in the Bernese Oberland you can learn all about the history and the production of meringues from the master confectioner. Visit the modern production facility where 50,000 tonnes of sugar and 30,000 litres of protein are processed into meringues every year. An interesting and truly sweet (en)tour. In 1986, this factory made it into the Guinness Book of Records with the largest and longest meringue in the world.
Bake your own meringues
If you wish, you and your group can try out the confectioner's craft for yourself and receive expert advice. Each participant can make about a quarter of a sheet of this Swiss delicacy with the dressing bag. Afterwards it will be baked and can be picked up the next day packed. On request, the meringues will be sent to you.
Large groups
If you bring more than 25 people, the event can be held in two groups. While one half of the group will visit the production facilities and, if desired, make meringues themselves, the other half can enjoy the fine dessert over a cup of coffee. Afterwards, of course, we will swap.
