Typically milky, slightly salty, incomparably intense
Mmmh, mozzarella! The Italian cheese specialty enjoys great popularity around the world today and is correspondingly often produced industrially. A small company in Kemptthal, Switzerland, is dedicated to the artisanal production of mozzarella. The difference in taste between an industrial product and the mozzarella from the manufactory cannot be described, you have to experience it yourself!
Guided tour of the company and workshop
Before you venture into the artisan production of mozzarella, you will be guided through the farm. You will learn a lot of interesting facts about milk, the processing of milk into cheese, mozzarella and ricotta as well as about the history of mozzarella. Under expert guidance, you will then make your own mozzarella, burrata and ricotta. In waterproof containers (canning jars, Tupperware or similar) from your own household you can take your products home.
Clothing, jewelry and hygiene
So that you can fully concentrate on the craft production, it is best to wear comfortable shoes and clothes, preferably with short sleeves. In the factory you will be provided with hygienic overgarments. You should not wear jewelry on your hands and forearms during production. For reasons of hygiene, people who have open wounds or feel ill cannot enter the plant.
