Who cooks the best risotto?
The Risotto Team Challenge begins with a lavish aperitif. Over a glass of white wine or prosecco and local delicacies from Ticino, your group will be divided into smaller teams of four to a maximum of five people. Each team will be given a different risotto recipe and the ingredients to go with it, then equipped with cooking aprons and chef's hats, it's off to the pots and pans. The big question that hovers over everything like the scent of sauteed onions is: Who will make the best risotto?
Culinary Team Building Activity
The cooking event is supervised by a chef and his kitchen team. After cooking, you sit down at the tables and have the risotto served by the service staff. You will enjoy a fine red or white wine with it. As a sweet conclusion there is a dessert, which the chef himself has prepared for you, and of course an espresso. It is also the chef and his team who will judge your creations. The top criterion, apart from good taste, is to keep to the exact cooking time for the rice. Because you can tell a real risotto when the rice is cooked "al dente". But teamwork, overall work effort and time management are also taken into account. The winning team can be honored with a prize defined by you.
Exclusively in the Grotto or in the Locanda
You have the choice whether the risotto cooking should take place in the region of Lugano in a very beautiful typical Ticino grotto or in Bellinzona in a modern Locanda with different rooms. Both locations can be rented exclusively for your event. The cooking usually takes place over lunch; additional rental costs may apply in the evening.
