From the office to the vineyard

How about turning your back on the screen, the desk and the entire office for half a day and spending a few hours on a vineyard instead? Treat yourself to some sun and fresh air. Join the winemaker as she works in the vineyard. Help out yourself, listen to the sounds of nature and enjoy the panorama from the Säntis to the Bernese Alps.

Knowledge transfer and active participation

Welcome to the beautiful Rafzerfeld in the Zurich Unterland. Winemaker Sandra Baumann welcomes you at the bus stop "Gemeindehaus Wil" in the centre of Wil, a pretty village with half-timbered buildings over 200 years old. After a short introduction, you will walk with the winemaker to the vineyard. On site you will receive information about the wine year, the vine plant, the different grape varieties, the work that has to be done depending on the season and much more. The knowledge is not only imparted in words: you are also allowed to lend a hand yourself and carry out various manual tasks under expert instruction.

Wine tasting and Vesper platter

The active work in the vineyard is followed by an extensive wine tasting. You taste all the wines grown on site in turn and enjoy a hearty snack platter with cheese and/or meat from the village butcher's shop, with vegetables for dipping and fine farmhouse bread. In convivial company, you will once again learn many interesting facts about the wines and the winery. Look forward to the following fine pots:

• Whites: Riesling & Silvaner (Müller-Thurgau), Räuschling, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc
• Spring whites: Blanc de Noir
• Red wines: Pinot Noir and Pinot Noir Barrique
