Cleverly played is half the battle

Croquet is about much more than hitting a few colorful balls on the lawn. The two different variants of the game - garden or golf - are played on a 12 by 24 meter court or indoors. You compete against each other in teams. All participants receive a colored ball, which has to be transported through all the goals in a zigzag course.

Normally, one shot is made per player, but additional shots can be "played" by strategically touching other balls (known as "croquetizing") or by hitting a goal. Used skillfully, this leads to an increase in speed and even the possibility of outrunning the field.
