Nature and animals

Embark on a special journey of discovery through the gentle hilly landscape of Appenzell - an animal safari that will make explorers' hearts beat faster. The tour is ideal as a time-out with your team, as a sporting customer event or as a leisurely Sunday outing with family and friends.

Equipped with a comfortable e-bike, you start in Teufen. Ahead of you is a route that takes you via Speicher, Trogen, Gais, Appenzell and Haslen back to the starting point in Teufen (approx. 44 kilometers). You navigate using your smartphone and complete the tour at your own pace - fast and sporty or leisurely and relaxed.

Along the way, you will not only enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes, but also keep an eye out for their four-legged inhabitants - whether domestic or wild animals.

Through forests and villages

Shortly after the start, wide meadows open up where you can see peacefully grazing oxen. Quiet country roads take you to charming, historic villages, then the trail leads through quiet forest passages - ideal for spotting deer in the wild if you're lucky. Time and again, there are impressive views of green expanses, interspersed with typical farms and pastures where cows, goats and donkeys dominate the landscape.
