A visit to the apiary

Welcome to the beekeepers in the middle of the city of Zurich. Whether you want to spend a day or just an hour here, very close to the bees (in a protective suit, of course) or at a safe distance, you decide. You will learn how honey is produced, what drives the bee colony and what sometimes makes it move to a football stadium. You are welcome to take a look inside the manufactory and dive even deeper into the world of liquid gold. While tasting, you will get to know different types of honey and special honeys. Then you can try your hand at transforming the precious beeswax into a velvety soft lip balm that you can take home with you.

Your hosts

These are, on the one hand, the beekeeping couple, two passionate beekeepers with a federal certificate, and on the other hand, the busy colony of honey bees. They contribute a lot to the diversity of flowering plants in the city of Zurich by pollinating the numerous street and park trees as well as the flowers in private gardens, on balconies and terraces. The honey that results is as beautiful as gold, pleasing to the palate and healthy.
