Can you find the treasure?
Geocaching is a modern treasure hunt equipped with GPS receivers, compass and map. While some geocaches can be found directly via their coordinates, others require you to solve puzzles first. The terrain also varies in difficulty: not every geocache is right next to the hiking trail!
Plundering does not count!
If you come across a waterproof box containing a logbook and various small swap items, you have found the geocache. You can sign the logbook and swap one of the items for one of your own - of at least equal value. Then re-hide the treasure where you found it.
Team challenge
Geocaching not only requires fast legs, but also brains. Compete against each other in teams of two and put your skills in navigating, puzzling and finding geocaches to the test. After this workshop, you will be able to search for one of the 5000 geocaches hidden in Switzerland on your own.
Adventures in nature
The starting point for this geocaching workshop is a converted barn in Wisen (SO). The geocaching practice area covers 1.5 square kilometers around the Wisenberg (BL/SO). There are 24 hidden geocaches in the area. It is not only important to find the treasures - great importance is also attached to taking care of nature during the search.
