Visit to two workshops

On this guided tour, you will experience how handcrafted masterpieces are created on a scale of 1:25 in the two Swissminiatur workshops in Melide on Lake Lugano.

Your personal guide will first accompany you to the workshop where historic buildings, churches and castles are lovingly restored or recreated. You will learn how traditional techniques and modern processes interact and how the detailed realization of the most famous Swiss buildings works.

The technology behind the mini-trains

In the second workshop, you will gain exciting insights into the technology behind the typical miniature trains. An experienced technician will explain the most important components and you will have the opportunity to hold the parts in your hands.

Behind every model that can be seen in the park, which has been in existence since 1959, there is passion, experience and craftsmanship that has grown over decades. This guided tour gives you a unique insight behind the scenes at Swissminiatur.
