Off on the mountain
Welcome to the Flumserberg! You will be greeted with a coffee and a homemade delicacy before you start to make cheese. Afterwards you strengthen yourself with a fine lunch consisting of regional and seasonal products. Depending on the weather, you can enjoy your meal in the rustic restaurant or on the beautiful terrace with a view of the Alps. After the meal you will go on a ramble through the mountain world with a wild herb specialist and will be introduced to the secrets of wild herbs.
Your program could look like this in detail
09.15 am: Welcome with coffee and croissants, then cheese during 2½ up to a maximum of 3 hours.
12.00: Lunch in the Sennästube (e.g. with salad, cheese cream spaetzle with Sennäbratwurst and chocolate mousse).
13.30 hrs: Wild herb ramble with herb specialist (1 to 1½ hours); in case of bad weather also possible indoors
The homemade cheese
When making cheese, you make two loaves of five to six kilos each. The maturing process takes four to six months. The longer the cheese matures, the more recent the cheese becomes. You can pick up the cheese at the right time or have it delivered. On request, the loaves can also be divided and, depending on the size of the group, packed and delivered in portions.
