On this excursion by bus you will discover the Emmental from its cultural and culinary side. The journey first leads to Lützelflüh to the Gotthelf Centre, where you will get to know the great Emmental writer Jeremias Gotthelf better. After lunch you will visit Kambly in Trubschachen and taste over a hundred Guetzlisorten.

Visit to the Gotthelf center

The Gotthelf-Centre in Lützelflüh is located in the former parsonage, where Albert Bitzius lived with his family from 1831 to 1854 and wrote countless novels, novellas and calendar stories under the pseudonym Jeremias Gotthelf, such as "Uli der Knecht", "Anne Bäbi Jowäger", "Käserei in der Vehfreude" or "Die schwarze Spinne".

Lunch and drive to Kambly

After lunch in the cosy inn with soup of the day, plate of the day and dessert, a visit to Kambly is on the agenda. The visitor centre is an experience for all senses. In the show confectionery you can look over the shoulders of the Maîtres Confiseurs. In the Crunch House you can learn more about the history of the traditional company and discover the secrets of the art of pastry-making. In the factory shop you can try over a hundred Guetzlisorte and enjoy refreshments in the café. Strengthened in this way, you will then begin your return journey.
