The History of Limoncello
Take a look behind the scenes at a multi-award-winning Swiss limoncello and create your own artisanal cuvée together with the company’s founder. As soon as you arrive, you’ll be served a homemade Spritcello cocktail.
The workshop begins with an engaging presentation on the history of the family business, its international awards, the positioning of this artisanal Swiss limoncello in relation to the major markets, and the secrets of zest grating.
The Workshop
Now you’ll learn about the ingredients: lemons that were specially selected for their zest, grain alcohol, water, and sugar. Then comes the highlight of the workshop: Together, you’ll grate the zest, weigh out the ingredients, fill them into jars, and label your own bottle with your name and the date. The highlight: the magic of the mixture—the workshop leader pours the macerate (an alcohol extract) live into the sugar water, and you’ll witness the immediate transformation into that characteristic bright yellow color. A comparative tasting rounds out the experience: your homemade limoncello compared to two commercially produced varieties, accompanied by small appetizers.
Message in a Bottle
One month later, you’ll receive your personalized 500-ml bottle of your very own limoncello in the mail. The workshop is ideal for bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthdays, corporate team-building events, and private clubs.
