Cut off and stop
Hornussen is the Bernese sport par excellence. No canton has more hornussen societies than the canton of Bern. Here, hornussen is played for all it's worth. Join in with your team. On the Hornusserplatz in the Bernese Mittelland you will become part of this tradition. Practise hitting the nous. It's not that easy to hit it - but practice makes perfect!
On our Hornusserplatz there is also a machine that shoots balls, so you can also practice stopping with the shingle.
The meal after the sport
After the sport you go to the nice inn in the neighbouring village. You can walk there (about 25 minutes), drive with your own car or our host will pick you up with a vehicle. At the inn you can enjoy a fine meal on the terrace or in the cosy restaurant.
Other activities
Combine hornussen with other activities at the country inn. For example, blow a wine glass with the glassblower, from which you can then enjoy the aperitif. Or book the mobile blacksmith to forge a barbecue skewer, which you can use immediately at the subsequent barbecue.
