Cheese guessing and tale swinging
This excursion to the highest peak in the Alpstein is not just about enjoying the beautiful view - it's about proving your own orienteering skills and team spirit. The game takes the teams from post to post, where their skills in various disciplines are put to the test. In the cheese guessing game, for example, the participants have to find out which of the varieties on offer is the famous "Appenzeller". They also have to find out who among the participants is the most talented at taler swinging or who can build the most beautiful Steinmannli.
Lunch on the summit
At the end of the course, the question arises as to which team has collected the most points. The answer will be revealed over lunch at the summit (also possible in the valley if desired). "Gonte Kari" awards the winners with the Appenzell winner's prize.
Summit tour and «Sennenfetzen»
The team games on the mountain can be combined with a guided tour of the summit, which includes a short film about the history of the Säntis suspension railroad and an exploration of the summit and the transmission mast. If desired, a «Sennenfetzen», a traditional handkerchief printed with pictures and sayings, can be purchased.
