Entertaining guided tour with Rhine cruise
Discover Basel from a new side! On this romantic walk you will see and learn a lot of interesting and entertaining things about the beautiful city on the Rhine from a guide who knows the area well. You are free to choose the thematic focus. This could be, for example, the Vogel Gryff, the Basel Fasnacht or Basel history in general. The walk takes 60 to 90 minutes, begins in the middle of Basel, takes you by ferry (weather permitting or no flooding) across the Rhine and back to Kleinbasel, where the aperitif is already waiting for you.
Culinary pleasure in a great ambience
In the "Schwalbennest", a restaurant with an eventful past in the Old Town, you can enjoy a fine Basel beer with your aperitif. You can discover other local specialities during the three-course menu in the Brasserie Café. In summer you will of course be spoilt on the beautiful terrace overlooking the Rhine. Do you like it dignified? For an extra charge, you can also enjoy your dinner in the beautiful Leuestube or in the historical hall, a pearl of late Biedermeier architecture, also known as "Kleinbasel's VIP tribune on the Rhine".
Your three-course menu could look like this
As a starter, enjoy a Basel onion soup with cheese croutons. Afterwards you will be served a roasted breast of corn poulard on a porcini mushroom sauce with fried potatoes and vegetables of the day or fried sea bass fillets with an artichoke and tomato ragout and dried rice. The sweet conclusion is a fine parfait of Basler Läckerli.
