Far away from everyday life

If you want to forget everyday life for a few hours, the gorges at Château-d'Oex are the ideal place to do so. Swimming, climbing and jumping, you can enjoy the wild water nature and otherwise completely switch off. There are two gorges in this area that are ideal for canyoning: La Tine and La Torneresse. The time in the water for both tours is between one and a half to two hours, depending on the number of participants. Including a theory block on safety, getting your equipment on, transport from the meeting point to the starting point and a small snack offered, your canyoning adventure will take about four hours.

In the ravine La Torneresse

The entrance to the beautiful gorge of La Torneresse is about one kilometre below the village of Etivaz. At the beginning the tour leads through quite open terrain, but the second part of the tour is deep in the gorge, the cliffs rise steeply and in some places you can even touch the rocks on both sides with outstretched arms. The canyoning in La Torneresse can be done by anyone and everyone.

In the gorge of La Tine

About ten kilometres from Château-d'Oex, near Montbovon, lies the gorge of La Tine. The canyoning begins with a small jump and a visit to the grotto "Aux Cro-Magnons", then a rope bridge takes you to the water. The gorge is wide, most of the time you "walk through" it swimming, while you can be enchanted by the stone sculptures formed by the water. La Tine offers places to swim as well as jumps from up to nine meters. The jumps can also be avoided, or you can choose an alternative route where you can jump from up to twelve metres.

Full day program, snack and small groups

Would you like to spend a whole day in the canyon world? No problem, you can also walk through both canyons one after the other. In between you can enjoy a meal in a restaurant in Château-d'Oex or a barbecue at the base camp of your canyoning guide. Small groups of less than four people can join other people on site.
