Guided tour to the rice fields
To roam through green rice fields, you don't have to travel as far as Asia, or even Italy: rice has also been grown in Ticino, and has been for centuries. Let a local guide take you to the fertile fields, which lie at the foot of picturesque vineyards. There, rice is grown organically according to ancient tradition. The farm you will visit is located in the immediate vicinity of the Foce della Maggia nature reserve.
Tasting - Own production of Ticino wines
If you wish, you can complement your adventure tour and risotto cooking in a team with a wine tasting. You will taste three local wines in the wine cellar. Cheese from the Ticino Alps and local bread accompany the tasting. A unique treat where you can experience Ticino in all its flavourful fullness.
Food after the rice paddy visit
We would be happy to organise a great lunch for you in a Ticino grotto (risotto & Ticino luganighette) or a picnic in the countryside.
