Guided tour with the night watchman

The night watchman awaits you on the Kornmarktplatz in front of the town hall tower. Exactly at the full hour of the bells the nightly walk begins. Your way leads through the old town, then crosses the Reuss on the Chapel Bridge and returns to the wine market after a detour to the small town. Your tour ends with the hour strike again at the starting point. By the way: In the winter months, the night watchman tour is particularly atmospheric. It takes place in all weathers; it is recommended to wear clothes appropriate to the weather. The tour measures about one kilometre.

The night watchman tour culminates in a wonderful meal served in the historic hall of the Zöpfli. Look forward to a fine four-course menu:

The Zöpfli and its baroque hall

The room where you dine is located in Ronca House, which is centrally and quietly located in the old town of Lucerne, in an inviting square with old trees. Stone steps lead down to the water, with the weir in view, then the mill canals, the historic buildings on the other bank of the Reuss and above all Pilatus. With its rich interior, the 18th century house reflects the style of living of the noble citizens between the late rococo and Louis XVI centuries. The ballroom is preserved in its original state: Mural paintings, decorated mirrors, artistic carvings, fireplaces, stucco work and a magnificent parquet floor form the backdrop for your dinner.
