You will gain insight into the world of jewellery, about silver and gold, the background and learn which techniques the goldsmith uses. And you will experience the amazing properties of the octopus 'bone' (Ossa Sepia), which you will need for the casting mould.
According to your ideas, you create a model which creates a cavity for the casting by pressing it in. Examples are used to demonstrate how a ring, a pendant, ear jewellery or a small art object is created.
Heart rate's climbing! The precious metal is melted with the flame and poured into the mould. After cooling down, open the fire-blackened sepia halves: The unique result of your efforts is now in your hands.
The finishing touches
Now work the metal to a noble finish. You saw, file and grind, make places shine and enjoy a surface that has been shaped by nature with fine, curved lines.
Perhaps old jewellery can also be brought to new life.
After these creative hours, you will surely like to toast to the result and later show the jewelry object to your loved ones with a meaningful smile.
