A technique without adhesive
The copertein cover is a simple technique of binding paper without glue into a leather cover. In the Middle Ages, this was an inexpensive way to hold together individual printed pages. The result was a collection of texts of a highly individual nature.
Would you like to learn more about the pioneering days of information dissemination? For example, being able to write meant not being able to read at the same time.
Why this was so and much more you will learn in a short introduction.
Binding materials and decoration options
You choose your binding from different types of leather and decorate it with beads, feathers, buttons, ribbons and rivets, just as you like. If the workshop takes place in the studio in Hochdorf, you can even have the leather embossed in gold.
Dinner or Apéro (optional)
If you wish, you can end the workshop with a meal or aperitif together.
