The ukulele and your team song

Would you like to promote interaction in your team? Then try a common song, accompanied by the ukulele. This guitar-like plucked instrument from Hawaii is perfect for people who have no previous musical knowledge. Unlike the guitar, the ukulele has only four strings. Guided by a professional, you will quickly learn some basic fingerings in this workshop and will be able to play your team song in no time.

Procedure of the workshop

At the beginning you will learn everything you need to know about the ukulele as a beginner. You will discover the different voices of the instrument and learn how to hold it correctly. Then you can start playing: You make the four empty strings sound, try out simple rhythms, learn four simple fingerings and practice your team song. You have the choice between different well-known melodies like "La Cucaracha" (Spanish folk song), "Tom Dooley" (folk song from the USA) and "Blowin' in the Wind" (Bob Dylan).

Venue and larger groups

The workshop can be held in a suitable room of your choice or outside. For larger groups, additional musicians will be called in so that practicing can be done in groups. At the end of the workshop, everyone comes together to play the song together. This is an unforgettable experience that will bond your team for a long time.
