The French bowls game
Boule or petanque, they are both the same: a ball game similar to boccia, which is very popular in France and is played at every opportunity, whether in the cities or in the countryside. Learn the most important throwing techniques and get tips, tricks and anecdotes from a connoisseur and expert in the game of boules.
A few terms and rules
Before we start, you will be introduced to the rules of the game of boules. You will learn, for example, that two players can play against each other with three balls each, called "tête-à-tête", but two people can also play against two others with three balls each ("doublette") or three players against three others with two balls each ("triplette"). The object is to throw the silver ball as close as possible to the target ball ("cochonnet"). An optimally positioned ball can also be shot away by an opponent's ball. Boule is therefore also a strategy game, and above all it is a lot of fun.
Implementation, food and other activities
Pétanque or Boule is played on small courses under trees in summer. It can also be played in a hall in winter. Larger groups can combine the workshop with another activity (for example a guided tour of the city) and divide the group. Would you like to round off the event with an aperitif or dinner in a nice restaurant? Let us advise you.
