Winter experience in the Bernese Oberland
On the toboggan runs of the Bernese Oberland you can experience something very special. Instead of the usual sledge, you will whizz across the snow on the traditional means of transport used by mountain farmers. The "Horischlitten" (hay sledge) has room for four people - and everyone helps with steering and braking! If that doesn't promise a fun ride downhill.
Four on a sledge
Accompanied by guides who know the area, you will travel by train to your starting point. There you will be divided into groups of four and will receive your horn sledge. After a short instruction with the most important tips for steering and braking, you will whiz down to the valley on the well-prepared toboggan run, equipped with helmets and accompanied by your guides. The whole crew of four helps with steering and braking - great fun. It may be that you won't get away entirely without bruises, but the amusing downhill run is a pleasure for young and old alike.
The downhill runs
Horn sledge runs take place in Sulwald or on the Niederhorn, depending on group size. We are happy to recommend other downhill runs on request.
