Play and enjoy on the Gurten
At this "Scottish" event, you will experience a cheerful combination of fun and feasting. First you take the Gurtenbahn up Bern's local mountain and walk for about 20 minutes to the farm, where real Highland cattle graze. The farm team and the game crew welcome you with a refreshing drink, then you slip into the typical kilts and off you go!
The disciplines of the Highland Games
There are numerous activities to choose from. Decide for yourself which Highland Games you fancy the most:

Implementation and award ceremony
Each post is supervised. The respective event leader will explain the game to you and also note down the clan points for the award ceremony. In the event of rain, the games (and the subsequent meal) will take place in suitable indoor rooms on the farm. You can bring your own prizes for the award ceremony or have them organized. Suitable prizes include products from the farm such as honey, Bärner Buurezopf, a pair of Hochländerli or an Aebersold sausage. Let us advise you.
Grilled highland beef
After the games, you can fortify yourself on site, for example with a great Scottish barbecue with meat from our own Highland cattle. Enjoy an extended aperitif, a sumptuous barbecue and a dessert buffet that leaves nothing to be desired. Afterwards, take a leisurely stroll back to Wabern along the paved hiking trail and start your individual journey home.
